Rumblin Ron's History

I have playing tunes since i was 12, playing at house parties, birthdays and this all progressed into Blues and larger sound clashes. Then at 20 i joined the Reading Sound System (Raiders), playing local parties and sound clashes. Playing Reggae Dancehall in the 80’s all over UK versus most of the big sounds gave me a knowledge of music and started my passion to play.
Then equipping myself with my own sound pa system i began to learn the engineers side of the business, leasing out my sound to large dances and events in the area. Reading Carnival was a regular appearance for me and my sound for many years and still is.
Then taking on the name Rumblin Ron, i decided to get back to the decks in the year 2000 going to Cyprus, Ayia Napa, Insominia playing alongside the residency along with big names.
In 2001 i went to Faliraki playing at Poser’s, Beach Parties, Sinner’s, Pleasure Rooms to name but a few... being named Faliraki’s Most Wanted for the years 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004.
Since then been spinning my decks all over the UK and in Europe and various events and venues...

My influences all began when i was a young boy playing Reggae, with all the old time greats Shabba, Chaka Demus and Pliers, Dennis Brown, Sugar Minott and more with so many, too many to mention going all through the 70 and 80's, playing alongside alot of large names with my sound and clashes. Then in the late 80's i over heard my brother and sister playing some real rare soul grooves, interested and entrigued i listened more and this gave me a passion for the Soul/House/Garage. Playing in Europe on a Garage Tip, now enjoying the Grime, Garage and Dub Step Scene whilst still keeping true to my infulences. I listen to a variety of music genres and live music and admire all of you who are in the business as it tough out there! Now days i play a variety of music from Garage, House, R 'n' B, and of course my passion Reggae, Drum and Bass (on a ragga tip), Dub Step and Grime and even been known to play some commercial tunes for those who love them. My influences are wide and far and really i would like to Big Up everyone who knows me..... Let the music keep playing......
